Artena Cup
Youth Football Tournament at the Summit of Gran Canaria
3rd and 4th Editions 2024 - The youth football tournament that brings sports to the summit of Gran Canaria

Artena Cup was born in 2019 with a clear vision: to bring life to the beautiful town of Artenara and offer youth football players the unique opportunity to enjoy sports at the summit of Gran Canaria, an exceptional natural environment they would not normally be able to visit. Under the inspiring slogan 'Football at the Summit', this tournament represents much more than a sports competition: it's an experience that combines art, nature, and sport. After its successful first edition, the pandemic forced a 3-year hiatus, but the tournament returned in 2023 with renewed energy, reaching participants from all the islands of the Canary archipelago. In 2024, two different editions were held: the 3rd edition in April during Holy Week focused on 8-a-side football categories (Benjamín and Alevín), where CD Valeriana from Tenerife became champion; and the 4th edition in December with 11-a-side football categories (Infantil and Cadete), where Simusetti C.F. A conquered the infantil category on December 27. This fourth edition marked the tournament's expansion to over 100 teams and two main venues: Artenara and Gáldar (including Barrial and Sardina del Norte). Organized by OM Sports and directed by Omar Antonio Hernández García, the tournament is characterized by its close organization, friendly treatment, and total availability to all participants. Clínica PhysioÉlite is proud to be part of this project as the official medical team, providing comprehensive physiotherapy coverage to all young athletes, ensuring their health and safety throughout the competition. Currently, the organization is already preparing the 5th Edition 2025/26 which will extend until April 2026.
